Women like Lisa Johnson are the reason why we're putting on Get Hitched, Give Hope. She was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer in early 2009 and on Valentine's Day, Brides Against Breast Cancer and the Making Memories Foundation helped give her the dream wedding she'd always wanted. Komo 1000 Radio aired a story about her- click on the icon to the left to listen. The Kitsap Sun also wrote a story about Lisa. Get Hitched, Give Hope founders Barbie Hull and Eliza Truitt photographed Lisa's memorable event. You can see the touching images they captured by clicking their names. Listen here.

"For those of you who don’t know, it’s a big fun swanky party for brides and grooms that raises money for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. The basic idea of the night (aside from getting dressed up and having cocktails and generally enjoying yourself) is that some of Seattle’s top wedding vendors donate their services, and then brides and grooms bid on them in silent and live auctions. All the money goes to charity." READ MORE
