Today was a day unlike many others – we (Christopher, Megan & I) delivered a dream to a very young family down in Tacoma.  Jeremy (age 27) who married is beautiful wife Jasmine (age 27) in June this year.  Together they have seven lovely children – all under the age of 8. Jayden – age 5, Cameron – age 8, Daniel – age 5, Kirsten – age 7, Malachi – age 5, Toni – age 4, Rylee – age 7.

On February 3rd of this year Jeremy was diagnosed with brain cancer – he was given less than 12 months to live.  He & his family have never enjoyed the luxury of travel or vacations so his wish was to have the chance to watch his children play & enjoy a water park – just one time before he passes.

Being there today to hand over the package prepared by Dream Foundation was an amazing & humbling experience – this is the real reason we work so hard all year long to help raise funds, awareness & to make a difference in people’s lives.

 On December 2nd, this family will enjoy 3 days and 2 nights at the Great Wolf Lodge along with $500 in certificates to the resort & a camera to document it all – playing in the water park and enjoying a few peaceful days of luxury!

Jeremy & Jasmine, thank you so much for welcoming us into your lives & letting us share your story! We hope you have a wonderful few days away!!

Zinchuk Films — one of Seattle’s top videography companies, not only are they talented – but they are generous too!!  This is their third year of participating with Get Hitched Give Hope & we cannot say thank you enough!!  Each year they donate a wedding video to be auctioned off — where all of the money spent goes to charity — in 2012 Janine & Larry bid on their services, here is the AMAZING video they created. Get Hitched Give Hope does many things, but one thing really really well – it brings the wedding industry together to give back!  Brides & Grooms planning their wedding attend our swanky soiree & bid on top notch vendors to bring their wedding dreams come true!

Whitney & John did just that!  They attended the 2011 event at the Four Season’s Hotel in downtown Seattle, they found some amazing vendors, helped us hit our goal and best of all they granted wishes and made a HUGE difference in people’s lives!!

I am excited to share with you some fabulous photos from an fun-filled event that was recently hosted by the winner of last year’s “Bridal Shower Bonanza” package from the Get Hitched Give Hope Auction!  Let’s take a peak at how this lucky winner utilized her prize…

Last year, Lilies & Lemon Drops and Heathoriginal teamed up to offer a silent auction package that featured breathtaking bridal shower flowers, paper decor, customized banner, favors, delivery and setup.  Newlyweds Jessica and David used the GHGH silent auction package to create a 4th of July BBQ for their families – what a perfect way to celebrate while giving back to those in need!
