Muriel, what do you love about your work? I love bringing an idea to life. Seeing the reactions of the bride and groom as they walk into a room that I’ve designed for them is one of my favorite aspects of my work. Their reaction and emotion is what makes me love my work over and over again.
What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? At a young age, I lost my mother to cancer and since then, I have always wanted to be a part of an organization like Get Hitched Give Hope. Upon discovering GHGH’s website, I found myself immediately drawn to their mission and knew that I wanted to contribute my efforts to help support GHGH in any capacity I could.
Thank you!
How are you participating in GHGH? .m.Glam Designs will be participating in this year’s silent auction and swag bag. We will be donating an exquisite set of Crystal-draped Manzanita Tree Centerpieces to help make someone’s event that much more special and glamorous.
What is your favorite product or service you provide? I love that we have the flexibility to customize our services to suit our clients’ needs!! This flexibility opens the doors to so many creative ideas and allows us the opportunity to cater to every budget and every style out there.
What makes your business stand out? .m.Glam Designs is the package deal! Not only will you receive a high quality product and service, our prices are extremely competitive.

We could not be more delighted to introduce you to Debbie and Al Turnbull, the owners of Timeless Weddings!! Debbie creates monogrammed, embroidered veils and items for the wedding, reception and the home.

Debbie, what do you love about your work? I am always a little amazed that what I do for a living is actually called “work”. I’ve sewn for as long as I can remember. The addition of our two embroidery machines have taken this to a whole new dimension. I work with moms and newborns in a postpartum/lactation office by day. In the remaining time I have the opportunity to create beautiful, meaningful things for others that are meant to be cherished and passed down through the generations. Babies, children and weddings are a passion. I consider it a privilege to be involved in some of life’s most memorable and important times, whether it is getting married or giving birth.
What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? What an amazing group of people focused on such an incredible goal! We cannot thank you enough for your enthusiasm and warm welcome. It is so wonderful to be involved in a wedding show with such a great cause.
How are you participating in GHGH? We are donating a few items, veils that may be monogrammed at a later date, a fun pillow…
And more! Stay tuned…
What is your favorite product or service you provide? Enabling the bride to choose and design what she would envision, whether it is a simple request or something that has great meaning. For example, adding pearls from her mom’s veil to hers. I recently had the opportunity to work with a wonderful lady who lost her father three months before her wedding. She invited her family to design her veil. Her mom chose an eternal heart design to underscore the monogram. I also love learning about different traditions like the “Veil Ceremony” and then following the bride’s wishes to create a custom veil for it.

Why do clients choose you? We strive to follow the bride’s vision and wishes. In doing so we always end up on the right path with amazing results. I love the art of communicating, in a creative open, fun atmosphere with the bride to achieve those results. The words “that’s the beauty of custom” are very meaningful to me, they represent what the bride wants.
Anything else you’d like to share with the world? Our deepest thanks and appreciation to the GHGH crew! We are incredibly blessed, with a wonderful family and incredibly positive people around us. Thank you to Al, my tech support, mentor, production assistant, digitizer, cook. For 36 years…the reason I believe in marriage.

Please say hello to another of our talented and generous sponsors, Tara Bliven of Ephemera!! At Ephemera, they design and letterpress print wedding invitations and other stationery. They have been in business for almost 4 years.
Tara, what do you love about your work? I love the satisfaction of taking a design from the initial concept all the way to the final product. A bride comes to us with an idea or an item that inspires her, and we help set the tone for the day with an invitation that we design and produce ourselves every step of the way.
What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? Not only do we get to meet and connect with brides, grooms, and their friends and family, but we get to do it while benefitting an awesome cause and having a fun party? Who wouldn’t want to sign up?! Plus, I do not have enough excuses to dress up, and I think it’s high time I went shopping! I have never attended the event, but I have heard great things and I’m really excited!
How are you participating in GHGH? Ephemera is donating a suite of 2-color customized letterpress invitations from our new letterpress collection – a collection so new that it hasn’t quite debuted yet. But you won’t want to miss it! We’re also donating some lovey-dovey luxe letterpress cards to the swag bags that I think brides are going to love using to keep in touch.
We are absolutely delighted to introduce another of our fantastic 2010 sponsors, The Yellow Leaf Cupcake Co.!! Tony Portugal and Michael Hein are co-owners of Yellow Leaf, and have been for fifteen months. Their cupcakes and treats are delicious, original, and adorable!
Tony and Michael, what do you love about your work? Working as a team and allowing our staff to play an important role in making our business successful.
What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? The amazing cause that it is!
How are you participating in GHGH? We will be donating 100 cupcakes and a cutting cake, as well as a full set-up for a bride to be. There will be an item added to the swag bags as well.
(They also provided all of the scrumptious cupcakes and goodies for our Sponsor Thank-You and media launch party!! They vanished!)
What is your favorite product or service you provide? Cupcakes obviously!
Obviously!
What makes your business stand out? We are known for our use of Italian Butter cream on the majority of our cupcake creations. We also have 100+ flavors that rotate throughout the month. Cupcake flavors are endless!
Anything else you’d like to share with the world? We are VERY excited to partner with GHGH. It is a true honor to help!
We are honored to have you on board!!

Bri, what do you love about your work? The chance to help women feel empowered and strong in their own bodies.
What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? Barbie Hull showed us what an awesome organization it is in supporting women and men with breast cancer.
How are you participating in GHGH? We are donating a Sassy Fit Bride and Groom Workout Package: 1 personal training session to evaluate the Bride and Groom and assess their goals as they start out their fitness journey, followed by a month of boot camp at our Sassy Fit Studio. We'd then finish off the month with a final personal training session to evaluate their progress and make sure they have all the tools they need to continue on their fitness quest.
That is awesome — what a great idea!
What is your favorite product or service you provide? Our most popular program is the Sassy Fit Arms & Abs. It targets troubled areas for a lot of women, moms, and brides-to-be! Our boot camps are a close second as they are a comprehensive total body workout of strength training and cardio for a sleek, toned figure.
What makes your business stand out? We understand what a woman is looking for when it comes to convenience and lasting results in her fitness regimen.
