What if you only had one year to live…What would your dream be? Many dreams involve creating a happy final memory for small children of a dying parent. Others reunite family members 
or bring a loved one to the bedside of a dying friend or relative for a few precious final moments of comfort.  There are no typical dreams. Dreams are as unique as the dreamers.

This year, our goal is to raise $75,000 to grant wishes for adult patients with life-threatening illnesses and their families. It can take $4000 to grant one wish for a small family of 4. Let's grant 15 or more!! To date, we have raised over $130,000: here is just a sample of what we've been able to do with your donations:

• Susan and her family of 8 were able to have one last family vacation in Hawaii
• Heather and her family of 6 were able to see Mickey Mouse at Disney World
• Sharon's wish was for her family of 4 to go to Hawaii
• We sent Susan and her son to Key West for one final good-bye.

How do we grant wishes? We have chosen The Dream Foundation to receive our net proceeds this year. Through programs like Dream Granting, Flower Empower, the Toy Program, and the Youth Advisory Committee, the Dream Foundation helps to fulfill dreams every day of the year. Dream Foundation, founded in Santa Barbara in 1994 by Thomas Rollerson, is the first national wish granting organization for adults suffering life-threatening illness The mission of the Dream Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families who are battling life-threatening illness. Dream Foundation helps adults find peace and closure with the realization of a final wish.   Get Hitched Give Hope is also thrilled to support the work of the Young Survival Coalition of Seattle.

A small group of breast cancer survivors began meeting in 2002 in the home of one of its members, and they found there was a need for support and services for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, we have provided a supportive environment for over 100 young women with breast cancer in the Seattle area. As of January 2009, we are honored to represent YSC as an affiliate and bring its national focus to the Pacific Northwest.
