Dream Foundation

As you know, the driving purpose of Get Hitched, Give Hope is to bring the best wedding professionals in Seattle together to throw a swanky party and raise money for a worthy charity! Over the past three years, we have loved working with the Making Memories Foundation, raising over $110,000 toward the goal of granting wishes for late-stage breast cancer patients.  They do wonderful work by making a difference in many families’ last days with a loved one!

In the spirit of spreading the love, we are thrilled to announce a fantastic new partner for GHGH in 2011 — the Dream Foundation!!  Dream Foundation is in the forefront of granting wishes to adults suffering life-threatening illnesses of all kinds!  Be sure to visit their website to read about some of the many, many wishes they have granted.

Through programs like Dream Granting, Flower Empower, the Toy Program, and the Youth Advisory Committee, the Dream Foundation helps to fulfill dreams every day of the year.

  • Dream Foundation, founded in Santa Barbara in 1994 by Thomas Rollerson, is the first national wish granting organization for adults suffering life-threatening illness.
  • The mission of the Dream Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families who are battling life-threatening illness.
  • Dream Foundation helps adults find peace and closure with the realization of a final wish.

Please join us on October 27, 2011 to toast to this wonderful cause that celebrates life and love and the fabulous spirit of giving! It’s an evening not to be missed, where the most stylish way to give is to get!  Tickets go on sale in June!

In our continued commitment to breast cancer awareness and support, we are very excited to also be supporting the work of the Young Survival Coalition of Seattle!

“A small group of breast cancer survivors began meeting in 2002 in the home of one of its members, and they found there was a need for support and services for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, we have provided a supportive environment for over 100 young women with breast cancer in the Seattle area. As of January 2009, we are honored to represent YSC as an affiliate and bring its national focus to the Pacific Northwest.”
