Meet the GHGH Team – Rebecca Ellison

Please welcome another member of the GHGH 2010 Team, Rebecca Ellison of Rebecca Ellison Photography!  Rebecca is a Wedding Photographer with 5 years in the photo biz and 3 years shooting weddings, and this year is part of our procurement team.  As Rebecca puts it, she is one of the Ladies of Procurement, helping to find all the fabulous vendors who will donate their goods to the auction and display at bistro tables on the night of the event.

Rebecca, what do you love about your work? I love going to work every day. It’s rewarding to be able to bring people happiness and excitement to their day that will last forever through the images that I capture. Photographing people through the major changes of their lives, be it a wedding or new baby, is an amazing experience.

What drew you to Get Hitched, Give Hope? I heard about GHGH through Barbie, Laurel and Eliza as we are all in a women’s photography group in town. As soon as I heard about it, I knew I wanted to help, but all they needed at the time was volunteers. I volunteered for the first and second year at the raffle table and tried to help spread the word about this amazing organization to everyone I know. I’ve always wanted to volunteer for a cause, but I have never had a cause that resonated so much with me as GHGH does. So when Barbie called to invite me to the team, I was stoked !!

How are you participating in this yearʼs event? At this year’s event I will be donating my time, since the photography section is highly sought-after and all the spaces for photographers are taken up! I am planning on giving to the swag bag, but I am not sure yet what that will entail!

What is your favorite product or service you provide? I have fallen in love with albums over the past year. An album is such a treasured product because not only does it tell the story of your wedding or new baby, it is something that will last through the generations and will become an heirloom for your family.

What makes your business stand out? To me, it is all about my clients’ experience and life, love and all the little things. It’s the little things that make such a difference in lives and is also what is looked over on a regular basis. So I like capturing, not only the people and their experience, but the details that make up their lives also.
